AXIAR is server-based software that manages the flow of print output, digital information and scanned images. AXIAR accepts print requests and input from virtually any source and routes output to printers, email, online, storage and other destinations.
AXIAR provides the system administrator with a single point of control for managing print jobs, scheduling printers and diagnosing printing problems. AXIAR can be configured to automatically detect printer errors and re-route print jobs without operator intervention.

Output Management Features
The main features of AXIAR are: * a global view of all print jobs currently active * automatic splitting of large print files across a user-defined printer cluster * automatic print job completion in the event of printer hardware failure * redistribution of print requests from one printer to another * scheduling by print job priority, load, and class of printer * changing of print requests (stop, start, restart at a given page, and requeue for later printing) * accesssing the status of all printers (paper out conditions, network problems, etc.) * controlling access to printers (disable printers, re-route jobs to printers, etc.) * routing output to non-printer output objects (email gateways, fax gateways, structured output/EDI gateways, etc.) * reconfiguring printers on-line * accessing all administrative printing functions securely over the Internet * viewing print files online * direct linking to printer-embedded diagnostic tools (such as Web Jetadmin) * print job delivery notification via email or Windows messaging.
